Why We Built This
Cloud cost optimization shouldn't require engineering teams to choose between velocity and efficiency. We're building the platform that finally makes continuous infrastructure optimization a practical reality.
Most organizations find hundreds or thousands of cost optimization opportunities but struggle to remediate them. The gap between "finding" and "fixed" becomes a growing backlog that frustrates FinOps teams and burdens engineers. We believe there's a better way.
From Engineering Frustration to Automated Solution
After years in enterprise infrastructure roles, I experienced the same pain point repeatedly: optimization recommendations would pile up in spreadsheets while engineering teams were too busy shipping features to manually fix all of them.
The traditional approach required engineers to context-switch from feature development to analyze findings, locate the right Terraform files, make changes carefully, and manage the entire PR process. This was time-consuming, error-prone, and ultimately unsustainable at scale.
I created Zaurus.ai to solve this specific problem by automating the entire remediation workflow while still maintaining the safety and control of a proper code review process.

The Zaurus.ai Approach
Engineering-First
Built for technical teams who value code quality, testing, and proper deployment processes. All changes go through your existing workflows. No shortcuts or risky live changes.
Transparency & Control
You see exactly what we're changing and why. Every optimization is traceable with clear ROI calculations. Your infrastructure, your control.
Continuous Improvement
Optimization isn't a one-time project. Zaurus.ai enables sustainable practices that scale with your infrastructure growth without adding headcount.
Security & Compliance
Built for enterprise requirements from day one. SSO, RBAC, and audit logging controls that meet enterprise security standards.
About the Founder
Prior to founding Zaurus.ai, Mike spent 15 years working as an engineer and leader in a variety of environments from startups to the Fortune 500. Mike has led technical teams for numerous cloud initiatives including cost optimization, migration & modernization, cloud-native developemt, security & compliance, and data architecture at publicly-traded organizations spending tens of millions of dollars per year with public cloud providers.
After seeing the challenges large IT teams consistently face around managing, attributing, and controlling cloud costs, Mike got to work building a solution that would enable organizations to optimize their infrastructure while seamlessly integrating into existing DevOps processes. Drawing from his extensive experience in enterprise IT, he understands the need to provide tight guardrails for AI infra solutions as well as the need to support existing developer workflows and change controls.
